Abington Choral Club - Membership/Auditions

Membership

ACC has more than 80 members, including those from the year of its founding in 1947!

Singers of all ages, varied backgrounds, occupations, and personal interests are members. Members live in Abington as well as communities throughout Bucks and Montgomery counties and the city of Philadelphia.

Members share a common bond – the love of music and the desire to share it with the community, a tradition that has lasted nearly 60 years. Singers are asked to participate in outside engagements at local retirement and assisted living communities, as well as at schools, hospitals, and other locations that may be scheduled during the concert seasons.

We are always looking for new members. If you are considering joining ACC, auditions are required.

Auditions

We hold auditions for new members during the first three rehearsals of each concert season. It's simple to audition for ACC. Just complete the short form below and your contact information will be forwarded to the Music Committee. You will receive a follow-up phone call or e-mail to discuss joining ACC and to share some background information about your musical history and preferences.

On the evening of your audition, you will be asked to sit in on the rehearsal with the choir (8 PM ASHS Choir Room) and then meet briefly with the Music Committee at its conclusion. The audition is non-threatening and no preparation is necessary.
